Collection: Melissa Moss

From Asheville, North Carolina, she has a background in color psychology and is well-versed in the meanings of colors in their subtle shades and tones. Working with acrylic, pendant, ink, and resin Melissa combines colors in an arresting way, creating a tinted world that is very much her own invention, Melissa‘s paintings of delicate trees and other worldly flowers may depict adorable creatures in peril or pretty pink flowers attacking a forlorn tree. Tiny details are not always evident at first glance. Often fantastical, this is subterranean landscape that lies beneath the child’s fairytale or a Saturday morning cartoon. Melissa‘s work is exhibited at several galleries, including in Hong Kong, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
